Türkiye visa: the documents you need if you live in Switzerland

In short

• Swiss passport: no visa for trips of up to 90 days.
• Passport from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, the Philippines and a few other countries: normally you need a visa from the embassy. With your valid Swiss residence permit, though, you get the e-Visa online. With eVisas.ch CHF 70, all included.
• The e-Visa is for one entry and for holidays or business, not for work or study.

Documents you need

• Passport: valid for at least 6 months from arrival, and in any case 60 days beyond your stay.
• Swiss residence permit card (B, C or L), valid when you enter. It's the reason you get the e-Visa.
• Return flight: your booking for the outbound and return flight.
• Hotel reservation for your stay in Türkiye.
• Enough money: at least 50 US dollars per day, for example shown by a bank statement or credit card.

How it works

The e-Visa is an electronic document. You show it on arrival, printed or on your phone, together with your passport and Swiss permit card. Border officers may also ask to see your return flight, hotel and money. So take those documents with you.

Tips

1. Only for holidays and business: if you want to work or study in Türkiye, you need a visa from the Turkish embassy.
2. With a Swiss passport all you need is a passport valid for at least 6 more months.
